Uplifting Families. Preserving Faith. Expanding Choice.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to empower families with the freedom to choose the best education for their children, including a Catholic education.
As Catholics, we believe parents are the primary educators of their children (CCC 2223). We are here to support parental rights and help ensure access to quality, faith-filled educational options across our great state.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church strongly affirms both Catholic education and a parent’s right to choose it.
“As those first responsible for the education of their children, parents have the right to choose a school for them which corresponds to their own convictions. This right is fundamental… Public authorities have the duty of guaranteeing this parental right and ensuring the concrete conditions for its exercise.”
— Catechism of the Catholic Church, #2229
Catholic teaching is clear: parents are the primary educators of their children, and school choice protects that sacred responsibility.
What the Church Catechism Says About School Choice
School choice is as old as our nation itself.
In 1790, Bishop John Carroll and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton built the foundation for Catholic schools—offering education for all, regardless of income. By 1890, more than 40% of children were enrolled in Catholic schools.
Today, modern school choice continues that legacy—empowering families to choose a faith-filled, values-based education that fits their children best.
The American Story of School Choice
“For it is in and by these schools that the Catholic faith, our greatest and best inheritance, is preserved whole and entire.”
